The I.T.E. fuse caps are used in fire protection systems in refineries and mining plants. The advantage of this sensor is that it uses a mechanical operating system based solely on the melting point of the alloy, and thus does not use any kind of electrical or electronic system.
The fuse element consists of a low-melting alloy containing bismuth, tin and lead. The alloy used is free of carcinogens and mutagens.
The body of the fuse cap is made from a single piece machined from bar stock to ensure greater reliability and safety of installation.
