Category: Check Valves

A check valve is a valve that allows only one direction of flow.
This valve consists of a disc or ball or other element bound by a guide and pushed by a spring against the valve base. This condition occurs when there is not enough pressure to open the valve or there is negative pressure and the valve remains closed, whereas with sufficient positive pressure, the valve opens and the fluid is free to pass to the sides of the disc and past it.
